![]() ![]() ![]() Plus, he was able to convey the character’s childishness with his voice. Okamoto was able to say Nishinoya’s odd lines in a straightforward manner. In difficult situations, he doesn’t give up, and is always pursuing the ball. However, he becomes completely focused on the court. He is extremely energetic, which helps boost the team’s morale, such as the time he released their tension with his famous Rolling Thunder. Nishinoya is awesome for countless reasons. His teammates trust him to save the ball before it touches the ground, so they always play to the best of their ability. Many mistake him for being an elementary school kid because from his height, however, he is an amazing libero who is respected by numerous other volleyball players. Haikyuu is full of amazing characters, with Nishinoya being only one of my favorites. In 2014, Okamoto also had the role of Nishinoya Yuu from Haikyuu. “All of you, keep your eyes forward because you have me guarding your backs.” This voice actor perfectly pulls it off, and the change probably can’t be done better by anyone else. First, he becomes a charismatic playboy, only to later be sulking in a corner out of embarrassment. He perfectly transitioned from Mikoshiba‘s two personalities. I am so grateful that Okamoto had the role of this weird character. For some reason, I like the fact that the Mikoshiba keeps trying to talk to others, despite the fact that he has difficult doing so. Therefore, I try to talk to the minimum or only when people approach me. ![]() Whenever I talk to people, I reflect on everything I have said wrong afterwards. I can partially relate, but not to the first part. ![]() Mikoshiba has a problem with shamelessly flirting with girls, but afterwards regrets his actions and becomes embarrassed. Surprisingly, he was ranked first in the popularity poll despite being a supporting character. In 2014, Okamoto played Mikoto Mikoshiba from Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun. “There’s nothing more satisfying that conquering all types of girls!” Okamoto perfectly touched on all of the important parts which make Niizuma who he is. To add on, he always writes making the oddest sounds effects. He seemed like an actual genius, despite having the personality of a child. Niizuma seems like a difficult character to voice, probably the hardest in the series, but he was perfect for the role. In my opinion, Okamoto did a wonderful job voicing this character. In terms of writing, I want to become as skilled as he is. Plus, he’s even more determined by his rivalry with Ashirogi Muto. He’s writing almost all of the time, and I’d like to become similar to the character in this aspect. I admire his motivation and passion to write. Niizuma writes manga which are usually based off of his experiences or ideas he had as a child. Plus, he’s really great at writing, which is a hobby for me as well. The main reason I liked this character because of how he fully embraces his inner child. This is due to the fact that he has been writing and drawing manga since he was little, and loves doing it. Niizuma is a genius mangaka despite being in high school. In 2010, Okamoto was the voice actor for Niizuma Eiji from Bakuman. It should be written as ‘formidable enemy’ but pronounced as ‘friend.’” Now, I’ll stop talking so you can read the blog. There are more I want to talk about, but I’ll include them in the actual entry. He’s been the voice actor of Bakugo from My Hero Academia to Nishinoya Yuu from Haikyuu to Obi from Snow White with the Red Hair to Niizuma Eiji from Bakuman. I’ve been suffering for a long time to figure out my favorite. Okamoto has been the voice actor for so many of my favorite characters. Bakugo’s craziness when he is angry to Niizuma’s sound effects when he is writing manga wouldn’t exist without Okamoto’s voice. In fact, my favorite characters are usually somewhat conveyed by their voice. The personalities of the characters is partially conveyed with this, so anyone who watches anime should be grateful towards them. Without them, there would be no one to voice the anime characters. Voice actors aren’t appreciated as much as they should be. By variety of roles, I mean the many personalities he has taken on for each character. Nobuhiko Okamoto is my favorite voice actor because of the variety of roles he has played thought out his career. I’ll be writing about a popular voice actor, but that isn’t why I’ll be writing about him. This is Yumi with a challenge entry for #TheManyVoices today. ![]()
